Who We Are
Tranquil Tea was established in 2018 to fulfil a need that I saw in Queensland and more broadly in Australia compared to many other countries I had travelled to- Access to high quality black/white loose leaf tea variations. A tea pot filled with clear, rich brown tea and a pleasant aroma that can be recognised from a distance.
As a person growing up amongst tea estates and having drunk tea since I was four years old I had experienced taste of black and infused tea variations, blending techniques and growing methods from a young age.
I then realised that ‘Ceylon Tea’ is known for its natural taste for the last 150 years and would be a great offering to the Australian tea drinkers.
It takes just 5 minutes to brew tea, which is the minimum time anyone stops being ‘busy’ before they start enjoying this beverage. With no alcohol , toxic ingredients or low to moderate caffeine there is less danger to the body and mind. Therefore with this amazing beverage we can celebrate, welcome strangers home, office or any other public place.
My hope is that these tea leaves will bring communities together, and facilitate healthy connections.
To make these leaves available to you, we source them direct from our family tea gardens in Sri Lanka and we personally inspect them to ensure a high quality sustainable and earth loving commodity is offered to you.

Tranquil Tea will make every effort to despatch your order in a timely manner, delivery timetimes are indicative only and we are not liable for shipments which do not arrive at the expected time. To avoid delays in transit, we suggest you provide an attended address such as a work address where someone you trust will be available to receive the order during normal business hours. Our courier drivers cannot call prior to delivery.
Return & Exchange Policy
Returns will not be accepted unless prior arrangements are made with Tranquil Tea starting clearly the reason for the goods being returned.
Claims for short deliveries and damaged/ faulty goods will be not recognised unless notified within 48 hours of receipt of goods.
If goods have been accepted by your carrier, any claim for shortages or damaged goods should be directed to the carrier.
Any arrangement to return goods; should be made within 14 days of receipt. We will not be bound to consider claims beyond 14 days of receipt of goods.
Replacement of goods ordered incorrectly. We do not send out replacement products in advanced of receiving the returned goods.
